AUTUMN WITH TASHIEKA

It is autumn now with leafless trees

I spot a deer plain as can be

In the north woods where bears roam free.

I slowly look notice a beautiful scene.

For more baby deer come about

I’m with my dog I don’t want to shout.

I reach for my phone and take a snap

this is the one, my one last chance.

I snap it before the deer start to prance.

Then a cool wind starts to blow-

I shiver and feel very cold

I’m so happy there is no snow.

I begin to run along the road

keeping my dog TaShieka close and in tow.

I’m exhausted but happy for I

can make a greeting card

the one with the deer is cutest by far!

Click, click Allen’s camera goes
he clicks away as I pose…
At the Hazelden Art Show
I had on display my inspirational poems.
Allen interviewed me back in 1999
he asked me about my books I was working on at the time.
Allen invited me down to the Sunshine state
he introduced me to artist at the ‘Hut’ which was great!
introducing me to artists like Alan, Jack Barry and Harry
Allen took photographs of party very merry!
Allen recorded me one day in the quaint Lake Worth town
with artist Harvey who had fun going around.
Allen then had dark hair with a new style-
I found this photograph of him and it brought me a smile.
I just saw Allen on Thanksgiving this year
Allen again who was full of good cheer.
Thanks Allen for being a friend with a playful soul-
I look forward to more of your fun photos that glow!
