CHILDREN HAVE CREATIVE MINDS by Suzae Chevalier
CHILDREN HAVE CREATIVE MINDS
Suzy Surprise by Suzae Chevalier
As a kid I made a toy
she was like me- short and small.
I sewed her up with bathroom towels
she was original and had no jowls.
Practical joke I did make-
with Funny toy that was a make believe fake.
I put fake toy in my bed
covered the blankets over her head.
Then when my sibling went to sleep
I told her from far away
I was sleeping ‘Please don’t make a peep? ‘
My brother said, ‘Are you alright?
you look very sick looking tonight.’
I replied, with a yell, ha! Ha!
Then I ran to room laughing to
fight the band
My sister was frazzled I understand
It was very funny, it was a blast–
These funny childhood memories are the ones that last!
Days Past by Suzae Chevalier
Holidays are a cherished time
for my childlike mind.
my belief in Jesus
was still not clear
one day I would be His “Little Dear”–
Going to bed on a Holiday night-
I could not wait for the gifts of gifts to arrive
and on that day Jesus makes our new bodies stay forever alive.
These are memories of old holiday past-
only the future in heaven will really last.

LAKE WORTH STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL 2011
Street Painting Festival was a great success
painted castle scene I did express
that birthday party ended swell
I painted it by myself.
Tons of people passing by
sun shining brightly in the sky.
My back and shoulders did get burned,
spray sunscreen every 90 minutes I did learn
friends brought me water for concerned.
All in all the festival was great
Talked to an Italian guy with tattooed arms
he hung around but meant no harm.
He stood by me and talked and talked
as I painted scene with colored chalk.
Coloring books I gave out some for free
others sold at Stuart Rooney’s
Import store
on table by door.
All in all the show was great
next year I can’t wait
for then I will paint
a totally different funny scene
Make it more of palm trees.

Children Are Like Butterflies
that morph before your eyes
They can be molded–
but please sympathize.
Please treat children like
the precious beings they are-
let them take flight
and be a shining star.
Keep them smiling
even at age ten-
Make sure you really
listen to them-
and be their friend.
Children are geniuses
that can help the world
so encourage every boy and girl
that you meet to be the best they can be
for they are like the butterflies
colorful to show us how to be free.

A Friend In Autumn by Suzae Chevalier
I met Autumn in the summer of 2003
she is in Callie now happy and carefree.
She is was a Hut studio artist back in the day
she looked like Drew Barrymore in everyway.
She gave me the green bridesmaid outfit
which I wore to promote me in Mn Fringe
Thank you Autumn, you are a sweet friend.
Nice to meet your mother and get dolled up
for the camera with Alan by the palm trees
it was great photos to put on my website.
Happy day to you out west-
that will be the state I will visit next.

LAKE WORTH STREET PAINTING FESTIVAL 2014 by Suzae Chevalier
It was the Lake Worth Street Painting Festival
two thousand fourteen–
Chalk painters would have to paint a Hollywood movie scene.
I painted again in front of Rooney Imports store
crowds came with a lot cameras galore.
Kavasutra Kava Bar was playing their music outside-
with speakers on the roof –they did not hide.
A friend down the street
said she saw a clip of me-
in the morning on Fox News
from last year when I had an interview.
This clip was on before the Oscars in 2013
also after it for it was about what’s happening.
Next year will be my last festival I will paint-
I will wear a princess outfit that looks really quaint.

Hollywood 1996 by Suzae Chevalier
I was with Chucky so dear. In L.A.
Saw “Independence Day” opening day
it was mother nature controlling humanity’s fate.
Only July 1st Margaux Hemmingway
had committed suicide–
it was from depression she could not hide.
I also ate at the famous restaurant “Spago” in Beverly Hills
close to Willshire Boulevard and it was a thrill.
I walked in wearing a short pink patterned jumpsuit
business agents turned around because I was too cute.
Chucky was there with me without a care
he knew all of them turned their heads to stare.
Everyone was dressed in suits with a tie
they all looked the same, I don’t know why.
Then off to movie Star’s mansions we traveled to see
it was really fun taking pictures for vacation memories.
I also took workshops on filmmaking in the day
it was very interesting I have to say.
I saw Angelica Houston for the first time–
We went to The Comedy Store
Richard Pryor performed in a wheelchair
his comedy routine–
He talked very dirty– his act was not very clean.
He said something only Chucky did understand-
it was about recovery–a quote that was grand.
Now I will always remember this trip for it is etched in my mind
Thank you Chucky for showing me a really good time.
